Images of Valor: U.S. Latinos and Latinas of World War II
The photographic exhibit, Images of Valor: U.S. Latinos and Latinas of World War II is on display at the Terrazas Branch of the Austin Public Library, 1105 E. Cesar Chavez St through December 31. Click HERE for additional information about the exhibit.
From 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, December 1 at the Terrazas Branch, UT Professor Maggie Rivas-Rodriguez, and Austin History Center Liaison Gloria Espitia will speak about Latino participation in the second world war. Rivas-Rodriguez is a Professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas-Austin and Project Director for the U.S. Latino and Latina World War II Oral History Project, which inspired the creation of the Images of Valor photography exhibit. Gloria Espitia is the Mexican-American Neighborhood Liaison for the Austin History Center.
