The Austin Parks and Recreation Department is always looking for a few good volunteers. You may chose to volunteer one time, once a week or join the department major volunteer program and Adopt a Park.
The Adopt-a-Park program is a volunteer supported program that invites citizens to partner with the Parks and Recreation Department to help provide, protect and preserve a Park System that promotes quality recreational, cultural and outdoor experiences for the Austin community.
Through this partnership a variety of group volunteer opportunities are available. Visit the Adopt-a-Park web page for additional information.
The Austin Nature and Science Center is always looking for volunteers to assist with animal care, working with pre-schoolers and more. Call 327-8181 or visit their web site for more information.
