South Austin

The City of Austin Landfill's Recycling Diversion Center accepts at no charge appliances, car batteries, aluminum cans and large metal items for recycling. They cannot accept microwaves, TV's, computer monitors or used oil.

North Austin

Ecology Action, a non-profit organization, runs a couple different drop off centers in communities north of Austin.
